Watch: Trailer for Ryan Gosling, Emma Stone musical 'La La Land' is magical

Damien Chazelle, the writer-director of the Oscar winning movie Whiplash, is all set to wow us with the musical ‘La La Land’. La La Land stands for Los Angles, where the movie is set. This Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling musical is about a jazz pianist Sebastian, who falls for an aspiring actress, Mia in Los Angeles. The trailer opens with a beautiful dream-like view of the city of Los Angles, which sets the mood for the two minute trailer and tells us the backdrop of the city will be an important element in the movie. The trailer takes us through the story of the two lovers support each other through their various performances, auditions and rejections, but will their love overcome all the pressures they are facing? Despite the fact that their chemistry is beautiful, there is something heart-breaking about their relationship, which might signal a sad ending to the magical story. The lyrics to Gosling’s song also signal to a sorrowful ending: City of stars Are you shining just for me City of stars There’s so much that I can’t see Who knew Is this the start of something wonderful Or one more dream that I cannot make true The song’s old fashioned tune and Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone’s chemistry have already got us googling the release date of the movie, but its a long way to go with a pre-Christmas, 16th December release.
