Watch: The 'Janatha Garage' teaser is out, and it's a perfect Eid gift for Junior NTR fans

Even as Sultan mania was peaking on Wednesday, 6 July, Eid brought another gift for film buffs — the official teaser for Janatha Garage, Junior NTR’s new Telugu movie. The teaser is short — just about half-a-minute long, but introduces fans to the two stars who make up this film: Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao Jr and Mohanlal. The Janatha Garage teaser opens with Junior NTR waking by the sea, the city’s skyline the backdrop for his introspective mood. Screengrab from YouTube[/caption] Then to the thumping beats of Devi Sri Prasad’s background score, Nandamuri shows us that this isn’t going to be a melancholy movie — it’s going to be one filled with lots of action. Our hero zooms into places on his bike, delivers a monologue at a government office, and beats up baddies. And just when the teaser’s about to end, we get a glimpse that takes the teaser to a whole other level — Mohanlal, walking beside Junior NTR! Can we just come right out and say how impressed we are by just this tiny glimpse we get of the superstar in the teaser? This is the Malayalam superstar’s second Telugu film, after 1994’s Gandeevam. Unfortunately, the Janatha Garage teaser does not show us the film’s leading ladies — Samantha Ruth Prabhu (whose fourth film this is with Junior NTR) and Nithya Menon. We can’t wait to find out more about this Koratala Siva film’s plot. But in the meantime, we’re watching the teaser on loop:
