Watch: Ranveer Singh and Baba Ramdev's dance-off is the perfect way to start a dull weekday

Actor Ranveer Singh seems to have found a match for his unadulterated energy in Baba Ramdev. While the combination might sound like chalk and cheese, their recent dance-off at an event shows exactly why we need the two to share the platform more often. Still from YouTube[/caption] At Agenda Aaj Tak 2016, Singh invited Baba Ramdev, who was seated in the audience, for an impromptu dance-off on the stage. While Ramdev was initially reluctant, Singh goaded him to come on board. In a typical Stone Cold Steve Austin manner, he asked the fans to give him a ‘hell yeah’ if they wanted Ramdev to shake a leg with the star. Ramdev eventually gave in only to leave Singh embarrassed by the end of the face-off. As the two danced on ‘Malhari’ from Bajirao Mastani and the title track of Befikre, Ramdev flaunted some of his best moves, taking Singh off-guard completely. What is dance? Nothing but a number of aasanas (postures) strung together in a sequence. This is what Ramdev brought to the stage. While Singh danced along initially, he lost track when Ramdev turned upside down, performed a headstand and started walking towards the actor. As Singh stood dumbfounded, with folded hands, Ramdev showed off some unbelievable spider moves which culminated in him lifting Singh on his shoulders in a ‘Samoan Suplex’ position, move around effortlessly carrying the body weight of the ripped actor and then launching him into the chair on the stage before quickly returning to his seat in the audience. The audience was as awestruck as Singh and they gave Ramdev a standing ovation accompanied by endless rounds of applause.
