In an Instagram post, Masand shared his experience of interviewing him.
I've loved his performances, and now I greatly admire the complete honesty and lack of pretense with which @ranbirkapoor spoke to me about his films, his recent failures, his breakup, and the future. He's an artiste in the truest sense of the word, an actor who takes great joy in his craft.
