Watch: Ralph Lauren releases making video of Priyanka Chopra's exquisite Christian wedding gown

Thousands of pictures from Priyanka Chopra’s extravagant wedding celebrations may have populated the Instagram feeds in the latter part of December 2018, but it was her Ralph Lauren custom-made gown attracted the most number of eyeballs. From appreciating its exquisite design, to generating memes on the 75-foot long tulle trail, the Ralph Lauren creation has had fashion enthusiasts enthralled.

Now, the designer has shared video clips on Instagram, where the actress is seen trying on the gown for the first time and the painstaking process behind putting together the outfit.

The process began with Lauren sketching out the entire attire and consulting with Priyanka along the month-long designing process. The behind-the-scenes video also revealed that revealed that 15 artisans from Mumbai were involved in the process of hand-embroidering the coat.

Priyanka’s hand-embroidered custom-made wedding dress comprised sequin-embellished strapless dress and a mesh coat featuring scalloped sleeves and a high-neck collar. With floral motifs embroidered all over, the coat that she wore had 11,632 Swarovski crystal encrusted on it. The outfit even had eight words embroidered on it, including ‘Hope’, ‘Compassion’, and and her wedding date ‘December 1, 2018’, on Chopra’s special request.
