Twelve hundred kilometres. At 18,000 feet.
That's the ground Mandira Bedi will be covering in her TV show IRT India's Deadliest Roads, to be aired on the History channel. Along with Varun Sharma and Sangram Singh, Mandira will be driving one of three trucks along some of the most perilous roads in the country, over terrain that "off the beaten track" would describe only euphemistically.
A trailer for the show was released on Monday, 12 September:
India's Deadliest Roads is part of the Ice Road Truckers series, a reality TV show that depicts how drivers take their vehicles across daunting journeys, in places like Alaska and the like.
Mandira had shared news of her involvement in the project back in July. She posted photos of herself training in Chennai and had shared images of her truck as well.
