Mumbai: National-award winning actress Konkona Sen Sharma and internationally acclaimed performer Tilotama Shome have shared screen space together in Jaydeep Sarkar’s short film Nayantara’s Necklace.
The dramatic-thriller, which also sees a cameo by Gulshan Devaiah of Hunterrr fame, revolves around the friendship between two unlikely women.
The 20-minute short showcases the empty spaces that exist behind the bustling lives of modern metropolises, which result in forming an accidental friendship between two completely opposite characters played by Konkona and Tilotama.
Nayantara’s Necklace is backed by Royal Stag Barrel Select Large Short Films, which has become one of the most respected destinations for short films in India.
Their last popular outing was Sujoy Ghosh’s Bengali short Ahalya, which saw Radhika Apte and Soumitra Chatterjee in the lead.
