Watch: Koffee With Karan promo has Karan Johar, Shah Rukh Khan ganging up on Alia Bhatt

There’s been a huge amount of speculation over just who would make it to the first episode of the fifth season of Karan Johar’s popular chat show, Koffee With Karan, as the celebrity guests. Image from Twitter[/caption] The big reveal — Alia Bhatt and Shah Rukh Khan — earned a round of approval from the stars’ fans. And the very first promo of the episode lets out that the choice of guests was spot on. The tiny, tiny teaser shows us that Karan will poke fun at Alia, with SRK joining in. There’s also a fair bit of their Dear Zindagi camaraderie on display, between SRK and Alia, that makes their banter a lot of fun to watch. Karan begins by teasing Alia: “This is the show that made you infamous!” at which reminder Alia threatens to break into tears. Karan’s next statement is aimed at SRK: “You never made it (to KWK) last season.” “Because I wanted the TRPs to drop a little,” is SRK’s prompt reply. Karan then asks SRK, “If you woke up as Alia Bhatt one day…” “…I would read the newspaper,” says Shah Rukh, earning him a mock reproof from Alia. A second teaser for the show has Shah Rukh admitting that he’d “rip the lips off” any guy who kisses his daughter, Suhana. From its promo at least, it seems the fifth season of Koffee With Karan will deliver on the promise of its tagline: “Personal relationships.
