Watch: In second trailer of Chef, Saif Ali Khan finds a new lease on life

The first stills of Saif Ali Khan’s film Chef showed him cooking with his on-screen son, and left fans hungry for more. The first trailer was a little predictable, but had the right balance of stunning visuals and warm emotion. In the second trailer, we see the breakdown and gradual rise of Khan’s character. [caption id=“attachment_4102695” align=“alignleft” width=“380”] ![A still from the trailer of Chef. Youtube screengrab[/caption] He calls his life a “recipe for disaster”, and you can see why; he pursues his passion for cooking, and in the process, loses his connect with his wife and son. The bridge with his wife does not seem like one he can rebuild easily, considering the fact that Milind Soman’s character seems to be close to her and and has charmed the son too. But winning over his son is a goal he works towards, and for this, he chooses to take him on an eating tour in North India. There are quite a few heart-warming moments, such as the shots where Khan and the child actor clean up a truck so that they can turn it into a food truck, and the scene where he makes him taste chhote bhatoore for the first time. Chef marks the Bollywood debut of Malayalam actress Padmapriya Janakiraman. Also starring in the film are Chandan Roy, Shayan Munshi and Russell Peters. Chef is the remake of Jon Favreau’s 2014 Hollywood film of the same name, which starred the director in the role of the protagonist. It is co-produced by Bhushan and Krishan Kumar’s T-Series Films, Abudantia Entertainment and Bandra West Pictures. It is directed by Raja Krishna Menon and will hit screens on 6 October.
