So what if John Travolta didn’t get her surname right, Idina Menzel not only bagged the Academy Award for best original song but also made a place in the hearts of countless with ‘Let It Go’, the catchy anthem of the animated film, Frozen. And for the past few days, the Broadway singer has definitely been on a roll. First, she enthralled the audiences at the Oscars with her powerful rendition of the song that got a standing ovation and now, in a new video that Jimmy Fallon unveiled on his show, we see her singing Let It Go, yet again, but this time to the tunes of classroom instruments and with Fallon and The Roots joining her in chorus. A screengrab from youtube.[/caption] Fallon during The Tonight Show gave a wonderful treat to the kids who stayed up late and showed a video of Menzel singing the Frozen song. Before unveiling the video he said, “Earlier this afternoon, Idina Menzel stopped by The Tonight Show music room, so me and The Roots grabbed some classroom instruments and made this video.” In the video we see the singer with Fallon and The Roots sitting in a small room. While she is singing Let It Go to the tunes of a chime in her hand, the men have grabbed whatever classroom instrument they could lay their hands on. Fallon plays toy blocks (yes! such a thing is possible) in the video as The Roots play the kazoo, xylophone, melodica, bongos, keyboard and even a lemon shaker. Menzel seems much more relaxed and carefree in the video and although her Oscars’ act was soul stirring, this is definitely much more fun. Watch the video here:
