Phillip Seymour Hoffman died exactly one year and one month ago. Snippets of the last three films he completed before his death: “God’s Pocket,” “A Most Wanted Man” and “The Hunger Games: Mockingjay” are featured in a four-minute-long haunting tribute video by Cut Print Film .

As the video cuts from film to film you realise the devastatingly early loss of a great talent who could have had many more years of film-making ahead of him. Hoffman, who died of a drug overdose, was a dependable actor and always added depth to his performances in any project he worked.

The video has no dialogue from the films, instead uses a simple music track, making it absolutely clear that without even speaking a word Hoffman was able to convey an entire character’s life and thoughts.

The final two movies of the Hunger Games franchise, Mockingjay – Part 1 and Mockingjay – Part 2, were shot back to back, though production halted when Philip Seymour Hoffman died. However the director decided not to use any “digital trickery” to recreate Hoffman’s performance in the films and instead chose to rewrite the script completely. While he adds gravity and soul to his characters in “A Most wanted man” and " God’s Pocket".
