For women world over, who have wistfully envied what seemed like a Cruise-Holmes paradise all this time, will be in for a shocker with the latest reports in the American and British media. According to a leading British tabloid, The Sun, Katie Holmes feared that she was being watched by Scientology recruits sent by Tom Cruise. Holmes is said to have filed for divorce to ensure her daughter gets a safe, proper upbringing reportedly after she failed to dissuade her husband from getting sucked into the cult of Scientology. It goes on to report that shocked at being shadowed like that Holmes apparently got her own security-men to check on the suspected detectives employed by Cruise. The report, however, doesn’t say if the identities of the assailants were revealed though the police was called. The Sun article coincides with Rupert Murdoch’s declaration in Twitter that he found the cult of Scientology ‘creepy’ and that actor Tom Cruise figured in the top rungs of the hierarchy. The cult, called a religion by its followers, reportedly believes in emotionally reliving painful and traumatic experiences of the past so that a person can free himself of its restrictive influences.
