Fans of actor Ajith, whose film Viswasam recently hit the theatres, got into a scuffle inside a theatre in Vellore, Tamil Nadu on 10 January. According to a Mirror Now report, two men were stabbed in the incident by a group of four men. They had gone to a 1.30 am special screening of the film. The two groups clashed while deciding where to sit for the screening. While the perpetrators fled the scene, the victims were rushed to the hospital.
In another incident, a massive cutout of the actor erected outside an unknown theatre in Villupuram fell on fans standing nearby. Before the fall, five had climbed the cut out to perform ‘paal abhishekam’ (a ritual where devotees offer milk to a deity), reports news agency ANI.
