Vinod Dua says Twinkle Khanna's comments are 'a prosaic excuse from an embarrassed wife'
Vinod Dua has responded to Twinkle Khanna's comments on the Akshay Kumar-Mallika Dua controversy, while Khanna makes jokes on the matter on Twitter.
Veteran journalist Vinod Dua has responded to Twinkle Khanna's comments on the Akshay Kumar-Mallika Dua controversy. After Khanna defended her husband's remarks, saying the father-daughter duo should learn to take humour in the right context, Vinod has said that her comments are "a prosaic excuse from an embarrassed wife".
He had earlier lashed out at Kumar for telling Mallika, who was a mentor on The Great Indian Laughter Challenge, "Mallika ji, aap bell bajao...main aapko bajata hoon". Although the original post was taken down by Facebook due to community guidelines, it read: "I am going to screw this cretin Akshay Kumar for telling his co worker Mallika Dua that “aap bell bajao main aap ko bajata hun” at 5:26.This is his sense of humor and language. Star Plus..wake up.."
Mallika, too, had echoed the same sentiments, saying she wanted humour to flourish but also did not want to be uncomfortable at her workplace.
Although Khanna is known to be vocal on social media and speaks out on several issues, her response came a few days after the controversy.

Her response was not just limited to an open letter. She also went on to make a few jokes about the issue:
Her jokes were not met with the kind of responses she was expecting, especially not from Mallika (also because there was no need to crack the jokes in the first place?)

Vinod, then took to Facebook, to give Khanna a piece of his mind.
