For lovebirds Vijay Varma and Tamannaah Bhatia, romance is in the air. With each interview, the two reveal much more than what meets the eye. In the latest, the Darlings star opened up about various aspects of his personal and professional life. However, whichever front it may be, for the actor “it feels absolutely great to be on a winning streak!” On the making of characters on the professional front, the 37-year-old said although he values the hard work that goes into creating the stories, the success and failure associated with them aren’t in his hands.
On Girlfriend Tamannaah
Vijay Varma acknowledged that no matter how much he wants to keep the relationship with girlfriend Tamannaah Bhatia ‘away from too much limelight’, it gets discussed invariably. But being confident about not keeping it under wraps, the star replied, “I love the song ‘Jab Pyaar Kiya Toh Darna Kya’ from Mughal-e-Azam.”
On the burden of expectations
In the same interview, Vijay Varma, while speaking on audiences’ expectations, replied that their presumption about me every time I come on screen can be daunting at times. He further added, “But knowing who I am, I don’t think I can do anything without full conviction. I’ve seen enough failures to not be lured by everlasting success. That’s my brand value.”
On getting typecast as either the hero or the villain, he said, “The conversation has changed a lot. I don’t like to be put in a box.”
Both Vijay and Tamannaah were recently spotted leaving and arriving separately at the Mumbai airport for their Maldives vacation, as per several media reports. However, Tamannaah denied any marriage prospects between the two as of now, in a recent interview with News 18.
Work Front
Work-wise, actors Vijay Varma and Tamannaah Bhatia have been keeping strong.
The Kaalkoot star first starred in the 2012 film Chittagong and later achieved hits with Gully Boy and Super 30. In 2022, he was seen in Darlings, alongside Alia Bhatt. Recently, he garnered praise for Prime Video series Dahaad, Kalkoot and the anthology, Lust Stories 2, where he stars with girlfriend Tamannaah.
He will next appear in Sujoy Ghosh’s thriller Jaane Jaan alongside Kareena Kapoor Khan and Jaideep Ahlawat.
Tamannah Bhatia has likewise had several hits this year. The Baahubali star was seen in Jee Karda, a drama-based web series. She also appeared in Bholaa Shankar with Chiranjeevi and Jailer featuring superstar Rajinikanth. The actor’s latest release Aakhri Sach, has also garnered immense praise.
