Vicky Kaushal is gearing up for the release of his upcoming film Sam Bahadur, based on the life of India’s first Field Marshal, Sam Manekshaw. The trailer of the film was recently unveiled, and the makers are now leaving no stone unturned to promote it ahead of its release. As a part of it, Vicky Kaushal, who was recently in the national capital for the release of the film’s trailer, also visited the 6 Sikh Regiment and had a good time with the army jawans. In a series of pictures shared on his social media handle, the actor can be seen performing a few drills while also interacting with the soldiers. The actor also shared how he received training from the 7 Sikh Regiment while filming the 2019 film Uri: The Surgical Strike. “Must say I got a ‘warm’ welcome by the 6 Sikh Regiment this time during my trip to Delhi for #SAMBahadur Trailer launch! In 2018, before we started filming URI, I was trained by the 7 Sikh Regiment. Unki obstacle training drills ki yaadein taaza ho gayi… always feels great to get a pat on your back by the real heroes!,” he wrote.
Talking about the post, while the first video shows the actor taking part in training drills along with the soldiers, the following pictures show him observing them and also interacting with interest. Many liked the post and also shared their excitement for the film as it gears up for a theatrical release. Sam Bahadur Directed by Meghna Gulzar, _Sam Bahadur_ , which is based on the life of India’s first Field Marshal, Sam Manekshaw features Vicky Kaushal in the titular role of the veteran army officer. While the actor will be seen stepping into the shoes to portray the real-life character, Sanya Malhotra will play the role of his wife, Siloo Manekshaw. Fatima Sana Shaikh will play the character of Indira Gandhi. The trailer of the film was recently unveiled, giving a glimpse into the life of the army officer. From adopting his body language to delivering some powerful dialogues, Vicky Kaushal as Field Marshall Sam Manekshaw looks quite promising. The film will hit theatres on 1 December.
