Famed for helming films like Talvar, Raazi, and the very recent Sam Bahadur, director Meghna Gulzar celebrates her 50th birthday on Wednesday, 13 December. Marking the special occasion, actor Vicky Kaushal who recently featured in her directorial Sam Bahadur shared a heartwarming video on Instagram extending his birthday wishes to her. The video which seems to be from the sets of their film, shows Vicky dressed in the character in his character of Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw performing a slow waltz with Meghna. Along with the video, he also shared a sweet note wishing a very happy birthday to the director. The unseen moment has also captured fans’ attention. As the video plays, while the actor can be seen making all the attempts to match steps with Meghna, the director looks hesitant on the floor.In the background, the actor added the ‘Itni Si Baat’ song from his film. Alongwith the video, Vicky also added a short birthday note, stating that he would try to become the “most hardworking person” on the sets of _Sam Bahadur_. “Here’s a little birthday dance with you Meghna… wish I could do it in person today! Everyday on set I’d try to be the most hard working person and everyday you’d beat me and everybody else to it. Will keep trying though… Happy Happy Birthday Sweetie… may you always keep inspiring people around you to give their absolute best!!!”, the caption read. While fans also shared birthday wishes in the post, Meghna Gulzar also reacted to it. “You!” she wrote with a purple heart. About Sam Bahadur Directed by Meghna Gulzar, Sam Bahadur features Vicky Kaushal in the lead role followed by Sanya Malhotra and Fatima Sana Shaikh in prominent roles. While Vicky essays the role of India’s First Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw, Sanya plays his on-screen wife. Fatima portrays the role of former Indian prime minister Indira Gandhi. Notably, the film also marks Vicky and Meghna’s second collaboration after the 2018 film Raazi. Despite facing tough competition from Ranbir Kapoor starrer Animal, Sam Bahadur remains stable at the Indian box office. Within 12 days of its release, the film has surpassed the Rs 60 crore mark in India.
