VH1 Supersonic 2019: Marshmello, Bonobo, Polyphia, Cubicolor, Tropkillaz, TroyBoi part of line-up

American DJ-producer Marshmello will return to India to perform at the popular Vh1 Supersonic music festival next year in 2019. This will be his second time at the festival. Marshmello, known for songs like ‘Friends’, ‘Wolves’ and ‘Happier’, had last performed at the fest earlier this year.

“Vh1 Supersonic has become the annual music pilgrimage for thousands of music fans from across the country and it delights us immensely to evoke the emotion of #Betherebefree for our fans with this marquee music extravaganza,” Saugato Bhowmik, Business Head, Integrated Network Solutions and Consumer Products, said in a statement.

“The love and encouragement we receive from our fan base has not only put us firmly on the top spot over the last two years but also inspires us to keep going one step better each time. Personally, can’t wait to see Marshmello performing at Vh1 Supersonic.”

The sixth edition of Vh1 Supersonic will take place on 16-17 February, 2019 at Mahalakshmi Lawns, Pune.

British music producer-DJ Bonobo will also entertain music listeners at the venue. Other performers include Hip-Hop duo Tropkillaz, progressive metal band, Polyphia among others, while TroyBoi will be making his debut in the 2019 event.

The festival curator of Vh1 Supersonic, Nikhil Chinapa said in a statement, “We’re covering an incredible amount of musical ground with the artists we’ve invited to our sixth edition. From festival-favourite Marshmello - who’s globally had the most incredible year in 2018, to our piece-de-resistance - Bonobo performing live with an enormous 8-piece ensemble." He added, saying that Supersonic was known for pushing the boundaries of music space to bring in new-age, unique sounds. Over the years, Vh1 Supersonic has blown up in popularity. This extravagant affair is not only the mecca of great music but also an experiential zone packed with vivid elements like flea market, immersive art, after-parties and many more amidst a magnificent well-organized setting.
