He further claims that the makers of Veerey Ki Wedding did not seek his permission before including the song in the upcoming film, according to a report by Mid-Day. Therefore, he is seeking legal action. Kumar’s lawyer has demanded Rs 7 crore and an apology from the makers for breaching the Copyright Act. The lawyer tells the publication that if the makers fail to comply with his client’s demands, civil and criminal action will be taken against them. A formal complaint has already been sent to CBFC chief Prasoon Joshi from the singer’s side. Sunidhi Chauhan has sung the film’s version of the song and former Bigg Boss contestant and singer Sapna Choudhary makes an appearance. Satish Kaushik and Yuvika Choudhary are also playing pivotal roles in the Ashu Trikha-directed film. The romantic drama is slated to release on 2 March, 2018.
