Veere Di Wedding ladies have a gala time in film's poster; release confirmed for 18 May

Ever since director Shashanka Ghosh's upcoming film Veere Di Wedding was announced, it's been enlisted among the most-awaited movies of next year. Adding to the buzz is the fact that the film is a chick flick; the cast being spearheaded by Kareena Kapoor, Sonam Kapoor, Swara Bhasker and Shikha Talsania.

Now, the makers have released the poster of the film, also revealing the date of release as 18 May, 2018.

Today, on 25 October, the makers of the film, along with the stars, tweeted and shared the poster of the film. You don't need us to tell you it looks great!

Given the title of the film, that there is a wedding celebration as the central premise of the film's story is quite self-explanatory. Although, it is not very clear who is getting hitched.

What we like about the poster? That there's no hero in the film (not at least in the poster). After all,we rarely see films on women bonding. For every Aisha, there has been a Dil Chahta Hai and Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara.

The Veere Di Wedding poster fills that gap and much more. The name of the film, Veere Di Wedding, also corroborates the same notion — why should guys have all the fun? This poster celebrates the spirit of these four women — Kareena Kapoor, Sonam Kapoor, Swara Bhasker and Shikha Talsania — and we can't wait to get to know them better.

The film has been written by Nidhi Mehra and Mehal Suri, and produced by Nikhil Dwivedi, Anil Kapoor, Rhea Kapoor and Ekta Kapoor.
