Yash Chopra’s Veer-Zaara had a gorgeous music album and intense performances by all the three leads- Shah Rukh Khan, Rani Mukerji, and Preity Zinta. And while speaking to Film Companion, cinematographer Anil Mehta shared how the ‘Pathaan’ actor contributed to the filming of the courtroom scene in the climax.
Mehta revealed that as the shot required a specific kind of still expression of SRK, the team had to go through a lengthy process. But, SRK was quite precise and locked properly into the technology, so he would replicate his move precisely so that they didn’t need special gear. The team didn’t have to use the motion control rig there at all.
Shah Rukh Khan and Preity Zinta were clicked cheering for their respective IPL teams Kolkata Knight Riders and Punjab Kings and the moment the camera panned on them, the pictures went viral in no time, sending fans into a state of frenzy. They were instantly reminded of their electric chemistry in the 2004 romance Veer Zaara.
While Shah Rukh and Preity outshined as the lead roles, Rani Mukerji also impressed her fans with her remarkable performance as a Pakistani lawyer, who left no stone unturned to unite Veer and Zaara. While the actress did justice to her role, not many know that she even faced scolding at the hands of the director for not being serious on the sets.
It was during her appearance at _The Kapil Sharma Show_ for the promotion of Bunty Aur Babli 2 when the actress recalled the incident, sharing how she was scolded by Yash Chopra.
