Telugu actress Vithika Sheru was the latest celebrity to fall prey to a suicide hoax, after rumours that she had ended her life began to do the rounds of social media on Tuesday, 11 July. Vithika, who is married to Telugu film star Varun Sandesh, took to Twitter to state that she was perfectly fine, and the rumours were just that. Vithika was also scheduled to appear on TV to rebut the news about her ‘death’.

Reports of marital discord have been dogging the actor couple in recent months, although both have repeatedly refuted any talk of trouble in their relationship. It was seemingly the ‘breakdown’ of her marriage that drove Vithika to ’en her life’ — the fake reports about the actress’ suicide contended. Varun and Vithika tied the knot in August 2016 in Hyderabad. They reportedly fell in love while working together on 2015’s Paddanandi Premalo Mari.
