Vanity Fair Oscar Party: Priyanka, Deepika among attendees; Best Picture goof-up hogs attention

After sitting in their seats for hours at the 2017 Oscars, the celebrities let loose and attended the biggest after-party in town, the Vanity Fair Oscar Party.

This year’s bash, hosted by Vanity Fair editor Graydon Carter, took place in Beverly Hills, and as per tradition some of the stars stopped to pose in the glamorous portrait studio set up by Vanity Fair. Already looking stunning, the stars brought it to the next level with the help of an old Hollywood studio and regal lighting assisted by photographer Mark Seliger. Here are some of the portraits:

Deepika Padukone also made it to the party dressed in a black and gold dress ,which some say is similar to a dress she wore at the Indian Vogue Beauty Awards 2012 , but nonetheless she looks beautiful.

According to Variety , there was a  daze of the most bizarre moment in Oscars history hanging over the party. Everyone at the party could not stop gossiping about the Best Film goof-up, when La La Land was named best picture, and after three minutes of thank yous, presenter Warren Beatty rushed onstage to admit the wrong envelope had been read. Moonlight was the winner after all. “I really f***ed that up,” Faye Dunaway, who co-presented the final award, was overheard telling a friend.

“At least everyone got to make a speech,”  Catherine O’Hara was heard telling a friend , trying to find the silver lining. Sofia Vergara and her husband Joe Manganiello attempted to explain the strange conclusion to friends Reese Witherspoon and her husband Jim Toth, who had missed it on the car ride over.

Casey Affleck was seen holding his Oscar till the party ended at 2 am and Emma Stone still couldn’t believe that she had won the award.

Other guests included the likes of Salman Rushdie, the Jonas brothers (Nick and Joe), Freida Pinto and many more.
