Va-va-voom! Check out smoking hot Idris Elba on the cover of Maxim magazine

A man has never appeared on the cover of Maxim magazine, which is essentially a magazine for men. Guess who just broke that record? Idris Elba. Guess who’s complaining? No one.

‘We’ve never in US Maxim history had a man on the cover solo,’ said editor-in-chief Kate Lanphear to The Daily Mail , adding, “This is the very first time, and there was no one else in the world more badass than Idris.”

Lanphear told EOnline , “There was no one else in the world more badass than Idris. For me, he was really the perfect embodiment of what I think the new Maxim man is. He’s multi-dimensional, he’s complex, he’s sophisticated, but he’s down to earth.”

Men have appeared inside the magazine, and sometimes alongside women on the cover, but Idris Elba has just broken the record with his solo cover, which is very aptly titled ‘Man Up’.
