Social media sensation and television star, Uorfi Javed aka Urfi, is known for consistently hogging headlines for her bold and quirky outfits. She has time and again faced troubles for her provocative sense of fashion, but this time it seems she has landed into legal problems. To everyone’s shock, Uorfi was recently seen getting arrested. Reportedly, it was due to her bold outfits that actions were taken against her and she was taken away by the police. In a video making rounds on the internet, Uorfi can be seen being approached by two lady constables while she happens to be having a meal at a restaurant in Mumbai. As the video plays, two lady constables accompanied by a male officer can be seen asking Uorfi to go to the police station. As she asked the reason behind her arrest, they explained that it was due to her short clothes that such actions were being taken. Despite resisting, the constables eventually escort Uorfi to the police car. During this while, an irked Uorfi can be heard saying, “Kya badtameezi hai yeh (What kind of misbehaviour is this?)”
Shared by a paparazzi account on Instagram, as soon as the video went viral, social media users were too quick to react as the incident sparked a debate. While many believed that the video was merely a prank, some also expressed their support for Uorfi. A user wrote, “God bless you urfi. Don’t worry sending positivity” while another one wrote, “This is beyond fake, more publicity.” “Why I feel this is a scripted,” a third user commented. Notably, the video came days after Uorfi received death threats after she recreated actor Rajpal Yadav’s look from the film, _Bhool Bhulaiyaa_ . For Halloween, she dressed up as ‘Chote Pandit’, the character played by the actor in the 2007 hit film. However, her look didn’t go well with a lot of people as many called it ‘insulting and offending for Hindus’. The 26-year-old also shared that she had received death threats over the video, further sharing screenshots of the emails that she had received.
