US models found dead in their luxury apartments just days apart

The residents of Los Angeles have a new reason to worry after two models were found dead in their luxury apartments in Los Angeles during the last week, according to a report by The Independent. The Los Angeles Police Department claims that the mortal remains of one of the models, Maleesa Mooney were found in her downtown LA apartment on 12 September. She was found in her Bunker Hill home by the authorities as they went for a welfare check after her family informed the police that they were unable to reach her. The Los Angeles Police Department has now commenced a murder investigation into her sudden demise. They are taking help from the locals to identify the culprit. In another similar incident, just two days before Maleesa Mooney, model Nichole Coats was also found dead in her apartment. Her cousin had a key to her apartment and she let herself in to see if the model was at home. She found Coats in an unconscious state and according to the cousin, when she touched her, she ‘was like a rock’. The cousin immediately called 911. Unlike Mooney, her death is not being investigated as a homicide. However, her family members claimed that the model has been murdered. Her aunt, May Stevens revealed that one of her legs was up in the air in a kicking position when her body was discovered. According to Caots’s aunt, it is not the position someone who has allegedly died in bed would be found in. Nichole Coats’ father, Guy Coats, told ABC News that he and his family are “distraught” after Nichole’s demise. He said that his daughter was an aspiring model who worked as a sales rep during the daytime. Now, the police department is also looking into the possibility that these two incidents might be related, however, no connection between the demise of models Maleesa Mooney and Nichole Coats has been confirmed till now. Families of both the victims are of the opinion that there can be some connection between the deaths of both these girls. It is also being assumed that it could be a case of serial killing.
