Legendary footballer David Beckham’s grand arrival in India to attend the ICC World Cup 2023 semi-final match between India and New Zealand prompted celebrities and biggies to host a party for his welcome. A few days after Sonam Kapoor and her husband Anand Ahuja threw a grand bash for the footballer, Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan also contributed to make it a more eventful visit as he hosted a private party for him on Thursday. As David Beckham obliged for a picture with many stars and celebrities during his visit to India, Shah Rukh Khan also posed with the former Real Madrid and Manchester United star and reserved praises for him. The Pathaan actor penned down an appreciation post for Beckham and wrote, “Last nite with an icon…and an absolute gentleman. Have always been a big admirer but meeting him and seeing how he is with kids made me realise that the only thing that out does his football is his kindness and his gentle nature. My love to your family. Be well and happy my friend and get some sleep…”

Notably, Beckham , after wrapping his three-day visit to India, also penned a note of gratitude for King Khan as he dropped a post to thank him for the warm welcome at his home. He wrote, “Honoured to have been welcomed into this great man’s home. To enjoy a meal with @iamsrk, @gaurikhan, their beautiful children and close friends – what a special way to end my first visit to India… Thank you my friend – you and your family are welcome any time in my home…”

David Beckham played football professionally for 21 years and officially retired from in 2013. He broke the news to his fans on 16th May 2013 as he played his final match for Paris Saint-Germain. He visited India as the Goodwill Ambassador for UNICEF. After his arrival in India, the star footballer was welcomed by Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja. He attended the party dressed in an all-black ensemble and also posed with the host couple for the shutterbugs. Besides Sonam’s family members, various stars joined the party to meet the footballer including Malaika Arora, Shahid Kapoor-Mira Rajput, Karisma Kapoor, Farhan Akhtar-Shibani Dandekar, Adar Poonawalla, and many more.
