On Friday, 14 October, after weeks of back and forth between theatre owners’ associations, IMPPA (Indian Motion Pictures Producer’s Association) and MNS leaders and politicians, single screen theatre owners at large and The Cinema Owners Exhibitors Association of India (COEAI) decided to impose a ban on screenings of films with any Pakistani artistes.
