Trailer watch: Vidya Balan's no Sherlock, but wait for Bobby Jasoos

After Ghanchakkar and Shaadi Ke Side Effects, it seems Vidya Balan is back in her element with her upcoming film, Bobby Jasoos. The trailer of Bobby Jasoos  is out and if it is any indication Balan is all set to charm her fans with her endearing portrayal of a dreamy-eyed Muslim middle class girl — Bobby, who wants to be a detective.  After being rejected by a detective agency boss who accuses her of not taking the job of spying seriously, she takes matters in her own hand and opens her own detective agency — Bobby Jasoos Pvt Ltd. [caption id=“attachment_1545461” align=“alignleft” width=“380”] Courtesy: Facebook[/caption] However, while she had hoped to get into the Sherlock Holmes mode and solve serious crimes she is mostly stuck with clients who bring her petty cases like a creepy man who asks her to locate a girl he likes, a middle aged woman trying to find out if her husband’s having an extra marital affair and an old lady who asks her to find out  if her son is smoking. But all this change soon when Bobby Jasoos gets a real case — a mysterious man asks her to find a missing girl and for clues she only has the girl’s name, birth date and birth mark. As she digs deeper into the case she realises that the matter is far more serious than just locating a missing person. In the trailer we see Balan in at least four different disguises and from being a beggar to a maulvi, she nails each look perfectly. If the trailer is any indication, there is also a cute love story between Bobby and a man named Tassavur and the film promises to be fun and thrilling. Actress Dia Mirza, who is one of the producers of the fim, says Vidya was the only choice for the role. “I have worked with Vidya before and she is one actress who gives her best. I have witnessed her working style and she puts in everything for a film,” she said. Bobby Jasoos is all set to release on 4 July. Watch the trailer of the film here:
