Tom Hiddleston on Bollywood variant of Loki: ‘Shah Rukh Khan would be great’

Well everybody loves SRK. Tom Hiddleston, who played the iconic character of Marvel Studios’ Loki, is in awe of the Indian audience’s reaction to the recently released second season of the series. Taking viewers on an unforgettable journey with the God of Mischief, the second instalment of Marvel Studios’ Loki, streaming on Disney+ Hotstar, has reached greater heights than its first. The final episode released on the platform on 10th November, leaving Indian viewers abuzz about the exciting end of the season.

Talking about the show’s popularity in India, Tom Hiddleston sent a video message to fans across the nation. He said, “Namaste to everybody watching in India. I am so, so happy to see all the love for ‘Loki Season 2’ across India – truly some of the greatest fans. Thank you for all the love and support and excitement. I hope you enjoyed watching it as much as I enjoyed making it.”

The actor has had a long-standing connection to India. During the run of the series’ first season, he spoke about how he associates Shah Rukh Khan with India and Bollywood, and King Khan himself tweeted back at the Loki star. This time too, Hiddleston mentioned the Indian superstar in a recent interview when asked about a Bollywood variant of Loki. He said, “He ( Shah Rukh Khan) would be great, he’s a good variant I think.”

Tom Hiddleston is joined by Sophia Di Martino and Owen Wilson on the cast of the show as they reprise their roles from the first season. Kevin R. Wright, serves as an executive producer alongside Kevin Feige, Stephen Broussard, Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Brad Winderbaum, Tom Hiddleston, Justin Benson & Aaron Moorhead, Eric Martin, and Michael Waldron with Trevor Waterson as Co-Executive Producer.  The series is written by Eric Martin acting as Head Writer and also features Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Wunmi Mosaku, Eugene Cordero, Rafael Casal, Tara Strong, Kate Dickie, Liz Carr, Neil Ellice, with Jonathan Majors, and Ke Huy Quan in pivotal roles.
