Thor: Ragnarok director Taika Waititi confirms sequel to vampire flick What We Do in the Shadows

Marvel’s latest offering _Thor: Ragnarok_ is making waves globally and is being touted as the production house’s best superhero flick since the 2012 Avengers. A lot of this credit  is being directed towards the director of the film, Taika Waititi, who also lends his voice to a character in the film. With all that buzz around the film, it was obvious that people wanted to know what has Waititi to offer after the Thor film. During the promotions of the film, in an interview with the BUILD series, Waititi revealed that a sequel to the popular horror-comedy vampire flick What We Do in the Shadows is in the pipeline, reports sbs.com.au. What We Do in the Shadows is a 2014 New Zealand mockumentary that revolves around a group of vampires who live in suburban New Zealand and share a flat. Image courtesy: Facebook[/caption] Waititi also revealed that the upcoming sequel would revolve around the pack of werewolves that featured in the 2014 original film. Rhys Darby played the foul-mouthed leader of the pack. “The movie is called We’re Wolves. It’s a word play. Americans love word plays. You guys love puns. It’s like a wordplay thing,” he candidly joked. However, Waititi also revealed that the film will take a long time to come to the big screen. He says, “You aren’t going to see it for seven years. We are notoriously terrible at writing together, Jemaine and I. Usually [the writing] takes place over emails. So we’ll email each other one line of dialogue once a month. What We Do in the Shadows took six years to write.”
