This fan's cover of The Chainsmokers' 'Paris' was so brilliant, he is going on a tour with them
Little did Tony Ann know he would get a chance to tour with The Chainsmokers when he made a piano version of their new hit single 'Paris.'
After the hit song 'Closer', The Chainsmokers have enjoyed more phenomenal success with their new single 'Paris.' The lyric video, which has more than 81 million views on YouTube, is also had the highest first-week entrance on the Billboard Hot 100 to date, hitting No. 7 at the end of January 2017.
Now for their new 'Memories Do Not Open' Tour, the popular EDM duo is going a step further to please their fans. The tour is going to kick-off with a special guest.
On Monday 6 February 2017, the dance music duo took to Instagram to post a piano cover of their hit song 'Paris' by Tony Ann, a Canadian pianist and composer studying at the Berklee College of Music in Boston reports Billboard.
In the caption, The Chainsmokers revealed they were so impressed by Tony Ann’s cover and another he has done in the past that they will be taking him along on their North American tour.
“Yo, how talented is this guy Tony Ann,” they captioned their post. “What an amazing cover of Paris! We found Tony online from an older cover he did of our music! It was so good we decided to bring him on our [Memories Do Not Open Tour] this spring!”
“Just shows you never know what’s gonna happen,” they concluded.

The duo also announced that they will be releasing a debut album this year via Columbia Records. Tony Ann has about 8,000 YouTube subscribers and almost 2,000 Instagram followers. Here's Tony Ann's version of 'Paris' by The Chainsmokers:
