Having directed more than 33 films in the last 31 years, director Vikram Bhatt has managed to give only 4-5 hits till now. Based on the American supernatural horror film ‘What Lies Beneath’, it was once again nominated for Best Director at the Filmfare Awards. Following this, in the upcoming years, Bhatt directed films like Awara Paagal Deewana, Inteha, Footpath, Aetbaar, Deewane Huye Pagal, and more, which were either flops or average. Next in 2008, Vikram Bhatt delivered his third hit film with the horror film ‘1920’. Following that, he directed a few other horror films like Shaapit and Haunted 3D. According to Sacnilk, Haunted 3D, which was made on a budget of Rs 13 crore, was declared a hit. The film went on to collect around Rs 34.25 crores in India. Continuing with his horror genre, he directed films like Raaz 3, Creature 3D, Raaz Reboot, 1921, and Ghost among others. While most of his films were flopping at the box office, some of them did average business. In a career spanning over three decades, Vikram Bhatt has directed over 30 films. While only 3-4 films are counted as successful, around 29 films are counted in the list of super flops or average.
