Shah Rukh Khan who along with Kajol and the whole team of Dilwale, launched the first song of their film Dilwale - “Gerua” amidst an houseful audience in the single screen theater, Maratha Mandir. Shah Rukh Khan is thankful to the lyricist Amitabh Bhattacharya and music composer Pritam for such a romantic number that they have provided for them. He is however certain that their paring has inspired Amitabh and Pritam to come up with such a number. “The song is inspired by love between us,” said Shah Rukh. Maratha Mandir, the single screen theater in South Mumbai, has almost attained the stature of an iconic stopover for visitors since Shah Rukh-Kajol starrer Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, still runs there, for almost 20 years now since its release in 1995. He gives all the credit to the director (here Rohit Shetty) and his entire team to having made it so adorable. “As we don’t understand what chemistry we have between us we do everything very naturally,” he says. Dilwale is Rohit Shetty’s first true romantic film in his blockbuster career but Shah Rukh revealed that he took no less effort in shooting each scenes of the film. “Rohit has even shot this song like an action sequence; I’m romantic on the top and serious inside and Rohit is romantic inside and serious outside,” said Shah Rukh. Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon, who were also present at the song launch, started the evening, pepping up the mood of the audience by dancing on the medley of some of Shah Rukh & Kajol’s hit numbers from DDLJ, K3G and Baazigar.
