The President of France is a regular at her dinner and for her cooking is a ‘passionate affair’. However, her sophisticated French tastes takes a hit when a vibrant Indian restaurant called Mumbai Masala (headed by Om Puri) opens just hundred feet away. While, Puri’s character seduces the Frenchmen and women with his spicy Murg Masala cooked by his talented chef (who is also his son) Hasan played by Manish Dalal, Madame Mallory isn’t ready to bow down and accept defeat. She mocked the Indian taste of both music and food and calls it ’too loud’. However, amid all this, a romance brew between Hasan and Mallory’s daughter and in a bid to impress Madame Mallory, Hasan makes her a perfect omelet. If the trailer is any indication, although the film starts with cultural clash with Indian and French cuisine at its centre, the film eventually turns into a story of relationships. The film has been directed by Steven Spielberg and produced by Oprah Winfrey. Watch the trailer of the film here:
