Ted's kids have had enough: How I Met Your Mother to finally wrap up

How I Met Your Mother has had its share of great moments, but frankly, it’s a little ridiculous that a series built around a father telling his children the story of how he met their mother has run for eight, long years.

And understandably his children are fed up.

The trailer announcing the final season of the hit TV series features Ted’s kids, all grown up and pissed off as hell.

It’s taken eight years for us to figure out who Ted finally married. And his children, it turns out, have not moved off the couch since he first sat them down to tell them how he met her.

In the video released at Comic Con, Ted’s children rail about how they have missed college, attained puberty and not even taken a bathroom break in the eight years it has taken for him to tell the story so far, which ironically has not really starred their mother at all.

“So do you want me to wrap it up?” asks future Ted (voiced by Bob Saget) to which his children scream, “YES!”

We concur. It really is about time. We’re just glad the writers of the show finally agree.
