Super 30 first look: Hrithik Roshan sheds action hero image to play mathematician Anand Kumar
The first look of Phantom Films' much-awaited film Super 30, starring Hrithik Roshan in the leading role has been released. Playing Anand Kumar, the Patna-based mathematician and founder of the Super 30 coaching institute, Hrithik goes completely de-glam. Being helmed by Vikas Bahl, the biopic will showcase the process through which thirty students would undergo a pivotal change in their careers.

Sporting a simple shirt and a beard, Roshan looks engrossed in something. His skin tone is noticeably a few shades darker (hello bronzer). Phantom Films also reveal that the first leg of the shoot is underway in Benares.
The film has been in the works for a long time and speculations about the Reliance Entertainment-backed project were rife even before it was officially announced. Earlier, it was being reported that Akshay Kumar would play the genius mathematician, after his photos with Kumar surfaced. There were reports of a fallout between Phantom Films' Madhu Mantena and producer Priti Sinha.
However, all rumours were put to rest after an official announcement. The whole team of Super 30 has been working closely with the mathematician to represent him and the true spirit of his life aptly.
