Sumeet Vyas teams up with his High Jack director Akarsh Khurana to co-write TVFs Tripling 2

(L-R) Sumeet Vyas, Maanvi Gagroo and Amol Parashar play siblings in Tripling.

Sumeet, who is also the lead actor, wrote the series with Akarsh Khurana who directed the popular web series, which also stars Amol Parashar and Manvi Gagroo. The new season will be back, picking up from the end of their road trip.

“It’s a dream collaboration. Akarsh is like my elder brother, I have known him for 10 years, he’s directed me in plays and he’s produced the first play I directed. We have written Tripling together and now we are getting back together for the next season. I’m looking forward to working with him again,” said Sumeet Vyas, on the collaboration, as reported by DNA.

The show which was produced by TVF, known for hits like Permanent Roommates and TVF Pitchers, saw a cult following develop around Tripling, the story of three siblings that take a trip together in an attempt to deal with a modern day crisis in their lives. The show proved to be a chronicle of the modern Indian family, which resonated with audiences.

“The web is a fantastic platform because it's so accessible. Everyone can watch the kind of stuff that they want to watch in accordance with their convenient time and place. This is why such platforms have gained so much popularity. I think that every platform has their voice – a kind of narrative that they believe in,” said Sumeet Vyas about his frequent forays in the web series genre, as reported earlier.
