Sui Dhaaga: New stills from film feature Varun Dhawan, Anushka Sharma in simple, realistically Indian attire
Starring Varun Dhawan and Anushka Sharma in leading roles, Sui Dhaaga features the two actors in very different roles, as opposed to most of their on-screen avatars.
Sui Dhaaga, the upcoming Yash Raj Films' venture helmed by Sharad Katariya, is one of the most awaited films this year. Starring Varun Dhawan and Anushka Sharma in leading roles, Sui Dhaaga features the two actors in very different roles, as opposed to most of their on-screen avatars.
Dhawan took to Twitter and revealed the first looks of his and Sharma's character in the film. He posted:

Going by Dhawan's caption, it is also known that his character is called Mauji in the film, while Anushka's named Mamta. Donning the typical small-town/ rural Indian attires, both Dhawan and Sharma perfectly fit their characters (just by the looks). Sharma wearing a synthetic saree along with a cardigan and minimal make-up make for a rather realistic look. Dhawan sports a moustache in the film and looks different from his previous roles.
While Anushka was seen in simple, realistic attire earlier in Phillauri, it is Dhawan's first stint as a common man (barring his vengeful Badlapur act). With both the actors stepping into a never-seen-before set up and guided by Dum Laga Ke Haisha director Katariya, Sui Dhaaga promises to be a delightful watch.
Sui Dhaaga releases on 28 September.
