After Inkaar, Sudhir Mishra’s next release will be a short film called Kirchiyaan. The film, a part of Royal Stag Mega Movies Large Short Films features Chitrangada Singh, Sushant Singh, Vipin Sharma and Manu Rishi.
This will be Mishra’s fourth film with actress Chitrangada Singh. The two started working together with Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi and have done movies like Yeh Sali Zindaagi and more recently Inkaar.
This 13-minute long film claims to have all the qualities that make Bollywood pot boilers — violence, drama and a lot of emotions with warring friends and old flames. With a dash of revenge, drugs and sex thrown in, it also reflects the society with corrupt cops and politicians.
Mishra says making this short feature film wasn’t easy at all. “It hasn’t been easy to make this film. On the contrary, it was more difficult to make this short film than most full-length feature films. Because there is no luxury of time, locations, budgets, etc. The story has to be gripping enough. Every second. It took more than eight ideas and nine drafts to arrive at the final screenplay. It’s been quite a journey,” he said.
This short film also has two songs composed by Shamir Tandon, called Kirchiyaan and Meherbaan.
Kirchiyaan releases at 4pm today on the internet. Watch the film here
