Benroya Pictures is the company behind movies like Kill Your Darlings (2013), Lawless (2014) and Queen of the Desert (2015), and has secured an initial $50 million fund to finance the development and production of the new franchise. Benaroya will release the Nitron comic-books in January 2017 as a six-volume series of 6 x 9 inch full-color trade paperbacks priced at $5 each. Michael Benaroya (of Benaroya Pictures) and Stan Lee will be writing the content revolving around a bunch of highly intelligent and and advanced species of Nitronians who covertly live on modern day Earth. Partnering with them is Keya Morgan, who is also the force behind Marilyn Monroe: Murder On Fifth Helena Drive, the documentary which is going to explore the death of the famous starlet. “It’s a pleasure to partner with Michael Benaroya and Keya Morgan on ‘Nitron,’” said Lee told Variety magazine. “I am excited for everyone to explore the amazing world of ‘Nitron’ with us.”
