Stalker attempts to barge into Shruti Haasan's house, attack her

Actress Shruti Haasan was attacked on Tuesday morning at her residence by a stranger who has perhaps been following her for quite a while now, a source close to her said. “The stranger has been following her ever since she started shooting for her new film, ‘Ramaiya Vastavaiya’. Three days ago, he had also come on her sets. At the moment, she is very stressed and for her safety, she has moved to her friend’s place,” the source said. The actor, though shocked, fought back and pushed her attacker out, the source said. Haasan’s publicist told the Times of India that the stalker rang the door bell around nine am. “An unsuspecting Haasan opened the door to find a stranger there; the man asked her, saying, “You don’t know me?”,” says the report . Haasan has now moved into a friend’s house. “She is under stress. She will decided whether to lodge a police complaint or not tomorrow,” said her publicist. The actress, who is the daughter of actor Kamal Haasan, has not filed a police complaint in the case so far. “So far we haven’t received any complaint either from Ms. Haasan or her staff. But we are trying to check the veracity of the news,” Deputy Commissioner of Police Cherring Dorje told The Hindu .
