SRK injured on the sets of Happy New Year, rushed to Nanavati Hospital
Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan on Thursday suffered an injury on the sets of Farah Khan's film Happy New Year and was rushed to a city hospital.
Mumbai: Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan on Thursday suffered an injury on the sets of Farah Khan's film Happy New Year and was rushed to a city hospital.
The actor was shooting at JW Marriott in Mumbai when the hotel door crashed on his hand making it bleed. Khan was immediately rushed to Nanavati hospital.
"He came in around 2pm and he is in the physiotherapy department. We can't reveal if he has any injury, but he is presently in the hospital," said a source from the Dr Balabhai Nanavati Hospital.
Shah Rukh Khan's office also released an official statement saying that Khan has suffered a minor injury. "Mr Khan had a minor accident on the sets while shooting. He has a minor injury and has got the necessary medical aid. Mr Khan is absolutely fine now. Thank you for all your wishes!"
Happy New Year, which is still being shot, features Shah Rukh Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, Sonu Sood and Deepika Padukone. It is slated to release around Diwali this year.
