SRK beats SRK: Jawan crushes Pathaan to become the fastest entrant to Rs 300 crore club at the box office

Shah Rukh Khan and Nayanthara starrer Jawan is in no mood to slow down at the box office. After enjoying a humongous extended first weekend, the pan-India biggie managed to maintain a strong grip on Monday despite the big India vs Pakistan cricket match. The film raked in Rs 32.92 crore (Hindi version - Rs 30.50 crore, Tamil-Telugu versions - Rs 2.42 crore) and has now entered the Rs 300 crore club (Hindi - Rs 282.58 crore, Tamil-Telugu Rs 36.50 crore) at the domestic market. It currently stands with a grand total of Rs 319.08 crore.

For its Hindi version, it will emerge as the fastest film to enter the Rs 300 crore as it will achieve the milestone in just six days (today) beating Pathaan (7 days), Gadar 2 (8 days) and Baahubali 2 (10 days)

The film might get affected by India vs Sri Lanka cricket match today but by looking at the current trend, we can surely say it has all the chances to shatter all records of Pathaan as the film will enjoy a free run at the box office for a few weeks ahead. Directed by Atlee, the Jawan also features Sanya Malhotra, Vijay Sethupathi, Priyamani, Girija Oak, Sunil Grover, Ridhi Dogra, among others with a cameo from Deepika Padukone.
