Spider-Man: Homecoming's newly released video clips show fans more of Aunt May, Adrian Toomes

Good news for Spidey fans: there are new Spider-Man clips to sample as you wait for the film to be released on 7 July. YouTube screengrab[/caption] Following the events in Captain America: Civil War, Spider-Man: Homecoming will explore the high school high life of young Peter Parker, with Tom Holland reprising his role as the webslinger from Civil War. The Homecoming cast includes Robert Downey Jr (back as Tony Stark/Iron Man), with Michael Keaton stepping in to play the villain Adrian Toomes aka The Vulture for this film. Tony serves as something of a mentor to Peter in the film — and this is kept a secret from his aunt. With May also seemingly unaware that Peter is Spider-Man, her disapproval of Tony Stark is also an issue for the teen superhero to contend with. This along with Peter’s high school drama, is one of the main story lines of the film. Spider-Man: Homecoming marks the first ever collaboration of its kind between Sony and Marvel, which makes it a great move for Sony, seeing as its last iteration of Spider-Man (Amazing Spider-Man 1 & 2) with Andrew Garfield as the lead was not very well received by the audience and critics alike. In the first clip Aunt May (played by Marisa Tomei, first seen in Civil War) expresses her disapproval of Parker’s secret mentor, admitting that she doesn’t particularly care for the devil-may-care attitude of the Avengers’ current leader. Then we have Parker filming his activities as he fought against team Captain America in Civil War. The last clip is the best of the lot, where we finally see more of Michael Keaton’s Adrian Toomes, and this villain looks as spectacular as his comic book version!
