Sonu Sood gets trolled for Sonu Nigam's tweet about azaan; actor clueless about outrage

Actor Sonu Sood found himself being trolled by several Twitter users, following the comments made by singer Sonu Nigam about the azaan on Twitter.

Nigam raised an objection against the playing of the azaan on loud speakers, calling it forced religiousness. He further added that he does not believe in temples and gurudwaras that use electricity.

God bless everyone. I'm not a Muslim and I have to be woken up by the Azaan in the morning. When will this forced religiousness end in India

While some people agreed with the singer, many people gave him flak for his comments. Sonu Sood was soon caught in this crossfire, with people aiming their criticism at him. He had no connection to the issue, except that he and Nigam share the same first name.

The actor expressed his cluelessness about the outrage he was receiving.

Many Twitter users predicted that this confusion would take place and poked fun at those who mixed up the two Bollywood celebrities.

This goof-up comes days after many social media users mistook Snapdeal for Snapchat, uninstalling the app and giving it low ratings following the news of an ex-employee alleging that Snapchat founder Evan Spiegel said the app was "only for rich people" and that he was not interested in expanding the business in "poor countries" like India.
