Solo: A Star Wars Story trailer — Han and Chewbacca team up; encounter Donald Glover's Lando Calrissian
Solo: A Star Wars Story will follow the beginnings of the gruff-but-loveable intergalactic cowboy, Han Solo.
Lucasfilm has released a new international poster and trailer for the upcoming film Solo: A Star Wars Story.
The poster shows Han and Chewbacca walking with full swag beneath the Millennium Falcon. But the new trailer doesn't really contain any footage that we haven't already seen. It is a mashup of the glimpses we've had from the Super Bowl spot and the full trailer, which came out the following day. The trailer teases some exciting intergalactic adventures ahead for the beloved pair of Han and his monosyllabic co-pilot Chewie as they encounter the flashy gambler Lando Calrissian.
Solo: A Star Wars Story will follow the beginnings of the gruff-but-loveable Han Solo, made famous by Harrison Ford in George Lucas’ Star Wars films. Alden Ehrenreich is taking over the role of the titular bounty hunter, while Donald Glover will play young Lando Calrissian, played by Billy Dee Williams in the original trilogy.
The Solo spin-off is part of Walt Disney Co’s expanding slate of Star Wars movies, which was rebooted with the 2015 blockbuster hit, Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
The Han Solo film is the second of three stand-alone Star Wars films that kicked off with 2016’s Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.
The movie is scheduled for release on 25 May, 2018.
