Sodakku: Thaanaa Serndhan Koottam song marks perfect collaboration between Anirudh, Suriya

Sodakku, composed by Anirudh Ravichander for Suriya’s upcoming Thaanaa Serndhan Koottam, is the perfect example of what happens when Anirudh’s tunes collabrate with Suriya for the first time. Anirudh puts on his Kuthu hat yet again with Sodakku, much like his recent Karuthavanlaam Galeejaam for Siva Karthikeyan. The lyrical version of the song revealed by the makers, features Anirudh, Suriya, singer Anthony Daasan and many others from the cast and crew shaking a leg. Looks like the whole team is addicted to the ‘Sodakku’ on their finger tips. Coming to the upbeat Sodakku song,  Anthony adds the much needed folk flavor to the track. The singer is apt for the genre and puts forward his best fast beat local vocals. The song largely shot in the suburbs of Chennai, also addresses the difficulties faced by the lower middle class around corruption. Apart from the mad combination of Anirudh and Suriya, another surprising element in the video is Jimmiki Kammal Sheril and Anna’s appearance. This is the first time the duo will be seen in a Tamil movie after they shot to fame for performing the immensely viral Jimmiki Kamal. While Sodakku has now gone viral among Kollywood enthusiasts, Naana Thaana, another cult track from Thaanaa Serndha Koottam has made it to the top. With two hit tracks already from the album, looks like this combination is here to stay. The film directed by Vignesh Shivan, starring Suriya, Karthik and Keerthy Suresh, Thaanaa Serndha Koottam is slated for a January 2018 release. Watch Sodakku here:
