Snoop Lion, what does your new video mean?

Remember the Artist formerly known as Snoop Dogg? Well he’s a lion now. And he doesn’t rap, he’s Rastafarian! And Snoop Lion, as he is called  now, has just released his song, catchily titled “La La La”. Yes really. The reggae star had earlier changed his name from Snoop Dogg to Snoop Lion. The video shows him singing, while children ask him why he changed his name. It has robots dancing to his strange tune, and pineapples dancing about. There have been singers before who have tried to change their stage personalities, but never their names. An example is Prince, who changed his name and look, but not the genre in which he sang. And while some say the song is catchy, frankly, as far as Snoop goes we liked him better as Snoop Dogg, when he delightfully rapped about the freedom of youth. Dogg or Lion, Snoop give us more hits like What’s My Name and Gin & Juice, not bizzare performances like this now. Watch the video here:
