The Isha Ambani-Anand Piramal wedding became the meeting ground of several high profile guests, among them was the encounter between Saif Ali Khan and Union Cabinet Minister of Textiles Smriti Irani. Irani posted an image with the Sacred Games actor on Instagram, reminiscing about the days when Khan gave Irani advice on how to survive in the "maximum city".

Irani shared an anecdote where she said that 23 years ago, Saif had given Smriti "tips" on how to survive amongst the "chaos" of Mumbai.

Irani is a former television actress who rose to fame after her stint in Ekta Kapoor's long standing daily soap Kyunkii...Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, where she essayed the role of the protagonist Tulsi. She is now married to businessman Zubin Irani.

Saif attended the Isha Ambani-Anand Piramal wedding with wife Kareena Kapoor Khan, and Karisma Kapoor.
